Carrie Craig joined Woodstock Institute as a Research Associate in 2024. In her role, she assists with research and analysis for Woodstock’s data reports.

Before joining Woodstock, Carrie was an Urban Research Assistant with the Chaddick Institute at DePaul University working on multiple transportation-related projects and as a Research Assistant on a project focusing on housing in the Chicagoland area.

Previously Carrie worked in youth and community development with the Peace Corps in Morocco where she and several community members founded a library and arts center. Before the Peace Corps, she was an advocate for federally subsidized tenants and was active in community development and affordable housing policy in San Francisco.

Carrie is a passionate advocate for equitable community development and a believer in the ability of data and information to empower communities.

Carrie has a Bachelor’s in Political Science from San Francisco State University, and a Master's in Public Policy, with certificates in Community Development and Metropolitan Planning, from DePaul University.
