Woodstock signed on to a letter led by the Leadership Council on Civil and Human Rights to support Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) American Housing and Economic Mobility Act of 2021 (S. 1368). The bill would, among other things, modernize and expand the federal Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) to cover mortgage companies in addition to banks. Illinois’s new state-level CRA covers state-chartered banks, state-chartered credit unions, and state-licensed mortgage companies.
