About the Data Portal

Woodstock Institute’s Data Portal provides data and information about neighborhood conditions such as income levels, jobs and employment, vacancy rates, and foreclosure rates to help communities holistically address the challenges of disinvestment and predatory and inequitable lending.

Our Data Portal is one of the only free-of-charge places community-based organizations in Chicago can go for this information. Through continued improvements to the Data Portal, we hope to continually offer the Chicago community the best interactive application for community organizations, policy makers, news outlets, and residents of the Chicagoland area to easily identify the variables within their geographies of interest that can be leveraged to spark economic development.
