In June 2023, Woodstock Institute will celebrate its 50th anniversary!
In 1973 Sylvia Scheinfeld founded a conference center in Woodstock, Illinois to provide research and education during the movement against “redlining” in Chicago. Today, Woodstock Institute has evolved to become nationally renowned through its research and policy achievements toward economic equity and racial justice.
Thanks to supporters like you, we have much to celebrate, and we look forward to the challenges and opportunities of the next 50 years. Will you be a sponsor to celebrate Woodstock’s first 50 years and consider stretching your commitment to an amount worthy of boosting us into the next 50 years?
We are pleased to announce that we already have our Chairpersons for the event:
- State Senator Jacqueline Y. Collins, Champion of the Predatory Loan Prevention Act and the Illinois Community Reinvestment Act, and winner of Woodstock’s Scheinfeld Award for Lifetime Achievement, 2021.
- Domenika Lynch, Executive Director, Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Program, former President & CEO of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and current member of the US Small Business Administration Council for Underserved Communities.
