Lauren will lead Woodstock’s applied research work, providing the empirical grounding for its policy and advocacy initiatives. Lauren brings a wealth of research experience in community and economic development with expertise in research methods, data analysis, and policy analysis. Prior to joining the Woodstock Institute, Lauren served as a researcher and economic development planner at the Voorhees Center for Neighborhood and Community Improvement—a research and technical assistance center housed in the College of Urban Planning & Public Affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has also taught Policy Analysis Methods at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Lauren holds a Master of City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology from the University of Notre Dame. Lauren is a certified planner and member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.
