Coalition Letter: Credit Reporting Issues that Impact Transgender and Nonbinary Consumers

Woodstock Institute signed on to a letter led by LGBTQ+, consumer, and legal advocacy groups and sent to the credit reporting bureaus and the Consumer Data Industry Association (CDIA) regarding the issues that transgender and nonbinary individuals encounter when trying to file a name change and afterwards. The letter outlines common credit reporting problems that still remain for these consumers and suggested actions the companies can take to remedy them.
