Policy Director
The Policy Director reports to the president, is responsible for leading the Institute’s policy advocacy and government relations work at the local, state, and national levels, and supervises the work of the Information Technology & Communications Associate, the Policy and Communications Senior Associate, and policy interns. The Policy Director collaborates with the Vice President for Research in setting the organization’s research agenda and develops and disseminates the Institute’s policy positions. The Policy Director also leads state and national coalition work, builds relationships with colleague organizations, and assists with fundraising. This is a full-time position located in Chicago with competitive salary and generous benefits, including a 6% employer contribution to retirement account after first year.
Information Technology and Communications Associate
The IT&C Associate will work closely with the Policy Director and the Policy and Communications Senior Associate to manage all information systems, including website and database administration, and implement Woodstock’s communications plan. The IT&C Associate will adapt Woodstock’s content for web and email campaigns and develop new web content; evaluate, track, and report usage of the website and other communication channels; conduct media and public relations and special events marketing; produce organizational materials; ensure that Woodstock’s style guide is applied consistently; and assist in developing and implementing new strategies as necessary.
