Authors: Shlay, Ann, and Carlson, Virginia

Summary

This report volume contained Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) Lending Profiles for District of Columbia neighborhoods from 1980-1982. The data source for these profiles is computerized Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data compiled by the Federal Reserve Board for each Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area (SMSA) in the United States. These data provide information on all housing loans made by regulated lenders (i.e., all commercial banks and savings and loan institutions) at the census tract level. These lending profiles show, for each year, the housing loans made by each lender within each of the 36 ANC’s. The information was provided at the ANC level by aggregating all tracts contained within each ANC’s boundaries.
