Summary
This report covers 16 different indicators of neighborhood economic change and investment. Most of the data examined cover at least a ten-year period from around 1980 to 1990. While this compilation provides summary data on every community in the city, its main purpose is to inform people about trends in Chicago’s low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. All data in this report are taken from data compiled in Focusing In: Indicators of Economic Change in Chicago’s Neighborhoods, Woodstock Institute, 1994. This larger report includes detailed explanations of all data and sources.
