Assessment of Economic Justice Workshop Series

For the Economic Justice Implementation Committee

Author: Jackson, Ernestine

Summary

The report discusses that in 1990, the Diocesan Outreach Sub-Committee of the Economic Justice Implementation Committee (EJIC) took the first step in support of the Economic Justice Resolution C-030a by releasing an 82-page manual, Organizing for Economic Justice. The purpose of the manual was to assist church communities to focus on issues of economic justice, to promote inquiry into Christian perspectives on economic justice, to encourage study of community economic problems, to participate in efforts to organize economic justice initiatives, and to acquaint people with some of the available resources for the task.
